Before Spring Break, I was able to visit the Alabama Natural History Museum. I did not know that there was a museum, other than the Bear Bryant Museum, on our campus. The museum was very interesting and not exactly what I expected. When we walked in the door there was a huge stuffed bear there to greet us. The structure of the museum was very unique. It was not set up like a normal museum. The third floor was a kind of balcony/porch type of set up so that you could see the second floor also. On the second floor is was intrigued by the prehistoric skeletons and fossils. They were all so large and very different from the animals we see today. But the thing that interested me the most was the CSI: Alabama exhibit on the third floor. There were many exciting things to see up there. The human body on the autopsy table and the shrunken heads were the things that I found most interesting. I was glad that we, as a class, were able to experience this great museum.
